Coronavirus (COVID 19) Information

Covid-19 is a new illness that can affect your lungs and airways. You should stay at home if you have either:

• A high temperature
• A new continuous cough

You can find out more advice using Worcestershire County Council’s coronavirus information page.

Please be advised of the following impacts on Town Council Services:

Town Council Owned Assets
In line with Government issued guidelines, all play areas, sports pitches and courts as well as the Skatepark at Victoria Park will be closed until further notice.
All parks and green spaces remain open for use as part of daily exercise and we request that all users observe the social distancing measures as follows:
• Keep 2 metres or 6 feet away from other people
• Keep to small groups of no more than 2 people, unless they are members of your own household
• Stay away from busy areas

The Council’s allotment sites remain open as the Government have stated that allotment holders can still visit their plots to take daily exercise on their own or with members of their own household
The Town Council will strive to continue with interments at Great Malvern Cemetery. All bookings are to be made through funeral directors and regrettably there will be no services held in the Chapel for the immediate future.

Please note that the vehicle gates will remain closed until further notice unless a funeral has been booked. The pedestrian gates will remain open.

Sports pitch bookings
There will be no football or rounders bookings until 1 May at the earliest.

The Town Council has taken the decision to cancel all of its events until the end of May with a further review of events scheduled for later in the year. This impacts the following:
• Earth Day
• Health and Wellbeing Fair
• Peaks Challenge Walk – rearranged for Saturday 5 September
• V E Day Commemorations
• Bands in the Park – concerts have been cancelled until the end of May

All non-essential meetings have been cancelled for the foreseeable future. A scheme of officer delegations is in place which allows the continued running of Town Council services.

General Information
The Council offices are now closed with Council staff working from home where possible.
